Assistance in Identifying Frame

Post by Jay Paist » Mon Nov 13, 2023 12:39 pm

I am a novice in karting and have begun the process of seeking an older/vintage frame as a project. On reviewing karts For Sale, sellers advertise as Vintage, but when asked what make or estimated year the answer is “Do not know”. On the kart in the attached photos, I met with the seller, inquired he listed as Vintage and asked how old, stated he did not know but believes is from the late 60’s or early 70’s. The seller did not know the manufacturer/style/etc. of the frame. An inspection of the frame did not reveal any manufacturer plate/serial # or other visible identifiers. On review of the attached photos, would anyone have an idea of manufacturer/make/type and possible estimate year range of built? Any information would be appreciated. Thank you. Jay

Not the best pics but I think it is a Clark 440 fun kart.

Late 70s Clark. The gas and brake pedals should have "Clark MFG" on the side.
