1960s Simplex

Recently bought vintage kart, was told it is a 1960s simplex. There are no identifying markers to validate this. It has a live axle in a housing with dual rear drum brakes, dual motor mounts. The steering column brace is shaped like two candy canes that meet at the steering wheel. All mechanical brake and gas mechanisms. Original color orange. Has original Good Year slicks. Rear drum brakes have roll brake linings. No motor or gas tank. steering linkage goes under kart ,has low profile seat Any thoughts?
