Simplex Chalenger Kart

Post by Will Higginson » Sun Sep 11, 2022 3:04 pm

Hi everyone,
Thank you for letting me join your group. I purchased a Chalenger Kart yesterday. It’s all original, except not sure about the tires. It’s in great condition but the frame has surface rust on it. I cleaned it up some yesterday.
It has all the original decals on it, including the Tipken bearing decal! It has a Westbend 580 on it that has the original metal tab on it. The seat was stored in a plastic bag and put in a box, it’s like brand new, material and straps are so soft. I’m thinking about talking to my buddy who owns a upholstery shop to see if he can duplicate it because it so beautiful. The seat is black and with with front and side pads.
I haven’t tried to start the motor yet but it has spark. The wheel bearing are so smooth when spinning the wheels. I don’t think the guy rode it much at all, it’s that nice.

First rule you need to know. It never happened without pictures. Second, is that a Challenger I, II, III, or IV? Inquiring minds want to know.
