Hey, Russ. Hope you are well. Don't forget they were all candy colors. My 1200 was candy blue. My '61 800 was candy red. Also, by '63, Fox owned the Go Kart brand. The Flexo 1600 series came along in '63 with the basic 1200 frame. The '63 Fox Go Kart was a different kart altogether. The '62 was the last TRUE GK 1200. Pop and I discussed this at length. We decided when Go Kart sold out that it would not be correct for me to keep running the 1200, as I was representing our shop. I switched to the Bug Stinger in '63.

There are the later cast aluminum steering wheels out there somewhere. A couple friends of mine bought the repops for their later 400's. The early ones just had a "W" shaped bent steel bar, but that didn't last long. If I had the numbers, I could whip one up on Pro/engineer. The brake would be the toughest part.
Dean, we sold a couple of the green candy Go Karts, but the green wasn't very popular. P.S., the G.K. candy red was over a gold underbase, not silver.
Heck, I've been building wooden stuff for the living room! WAAAY too hot to be in the garage. Ted

The fellow wants a factory built so if you can keep your eyes out for one it would be very appreciated.

Bob, I hope your friend has recently sat in a 1200. I drove one in '62, and it was the best handling REAR engine kart I've ever been in. I bought a 1200 frame in '04 to restore. Spent a year building it in the living room of my apartment. I got it all back to how it would've looked in '62. When we brought it to the '07 TBO, I found there was no way I could fit in it well enough to actually drive it. The 1200 is a bit close from seatback to steering wheel. It sucked for me to have to sell the 1200, but I just couldn't fit in it. Ted

Teddy,

The fellow had one as a kid. His first kart, kinda like the first kiss.
