This 1960 Hoffco Hurricane has been STOLEN. It was in transit via UShip from Georgia to California and the trailer it was in was stolen in Oklahoma. It was part of the Harm Shurrman collection and had won two Best Unrestored Kart awards at Barnesville. It was sold without the engines. Please keep your eye out for it. Thanks.

Private carrier?

The carrier (PNW Logistics) was contracted thru UShip. UShip has already agreed to reimburse all my expenses but I would much rather have the kart. It is currently being investigated by them and the police. There is a SMALL chance that it might turn up but I'm not holding my breath. I am impressed with how quickly UShip addressed the issue and they are keeping me and the seller (who actually arranged the shipping) up to date.

Any idea what else was in the trailer? I've heard racers having their trailer stolen & years later they realize another special tool is gone they had forgotten about.

Is was informed that there was also furniture in the trailer but nothing else that was kart related.
