Dave,

In trying to identify a kart it is always good to list your location because karts seemed to be somewhat territorial especially if their production numbers were low so knowing where your located often helps to make a i.d.

Have spoken to quite a few very knowledgeable people when it comes to early kart idetifications and none of them can come to a accurate branding of this kart however don't let that matter.

Is it a early American racer, yes by components attached as in the wheels, tank, bell crank throttle linkage and the engine is behind the driver easily identifies its heritage.

Is it rare and or valuable, sure it is. It appears to be a survior from over 50 years ago and it has some unique design elements, those factors alone add to its value. Plus like Brad said "its cool".

Restore it or just put it back together as is and enjoy it because saving the early iron from days gone by is what historical karting is all about.
