We have come to a decision on how this years running of THE BIG ONE will take place and we are putting this notice out earlier then planned and hopefully this will help you to understand what we are facing with the running of this years event. We are not pleased to make some of the following decision however we are dealing with the current situation as best as we can.
With regards to the well-being of our friends and our guests along with the guidelines put forth by the Fremont Raceway Park principals and the state of Ohio we WILL be running THE BIG ONE again this year but we have decided to scale back on many of the events traditional features. Yes, I did say we "WILL be running THE BIG ONE again this year".
As of now we will be running karts both Saturday September 5th. and Sunday September 6th. and the FREE lunch will still be provided both days with your entrance fee.
The traditional free refreshments, kart show, free raffles, etc. will not be offered this year in a effort to minimize personal contact and to keep social distancing in effect. Entrance fees will be lowered this year to reflect the elimination of these extra features. Please make a special note of the lack of free refreshments and adjust your plans accordingly.
If you chose to sell any items we would ask that you at very least have a bottle of hand sanitizer on your table and practice safe social distancing. Rubber gloves are advised also along with masks.
The current adjusted event price structure is listed below and remember, a FREE lunch is still included with all daily passes.
Weekend pit pass - $25.00
1 Day driver pass - $45.00 includes pit pass.
2 Day driver pass - $70.00 includes pit pass.
Please try to bring exact payment amounts.
Gates will NOT and I repeat, gates will NOT be open on Friday for early move-in.
We are eliminating the Friday move in date at the request of the track owners. We want as little attention as possible.
Gates will be open 8:00 am Saturday morning September 5th.
If we all work together we can have a smooth move-in as we have in years past.
We have plenty of space and plenty of time to get you a pit spot.
Please keep your eyes on this website because of rapidly changing updates that may be beyond our control. We will try to make any updates if any as soon as possible.
We hope that these changes and vital decisions do not effect your plans to attend this years event. The hobby of Historical Karting has always been about the Friendships, the Fun, and the Karts from days gone by and those traditions will continue on this year so we hope to see you all again this year.
