G.W. posted on vintagekartforum.com that the great Jerry Solt of SAE fame passed on the 18th. I didn't know him well, I only saw him several times at TBO. He was a decent sort of fellow with a good mind for practical design. He will be missed. :( Ted

We lost another good one in just a one week period.

Jerry Solt was cut from the use your head and your hands mold and he did things his way to find a faster, better, lighter way around a kart track in a era when karters were free to explore different ways to the chekered flag.

Sadly the sport of Karting has a lost another good man and in Jerry's case, one of the hobbies true pioneers.
