Can Someone I.D. This Kart?
Does anyone know what brand kart this is? Lots of square tubing.......Thanks for any responses.

Tim,
Might be a Century.
If you go back into the earlier Karting Ohio threads there is mention of a lawsuit Rupp filed against Century for a patent infringement of their braking system. Your kart is not a Rupp but it has a braking system much like the one Rupp designed and filed the lawsuit over.

Century was an exact copy of a 1959 Dart frame , with a live axle .
Re: Can Someone I.D. This Kart?
Years back Don Distel use to bring a Century to TBO and it was a dead axle. Can't remember the braking arrangement though.
Bantams were square tube.

Maybe the copy by Century of the 59 Rupp came out in 60 and the square tube was earlier than the one I have (which is the same as the one Pearl has).

First Centurys I remember had round tubing and the "normal dropped front axle like Dart. Ted

Not a Century. I will have to dig some to find it. I've seen it before. Can I get better front axle & steering pictures please? Front axle looks modified.

Re: Can Someone I.D. This Kart?
Unfortunately, these are the only ones I have. It definitely looks factory made-the brake design is a copy of another kart. But the only other kart I know of that used square tubing was S.A.E. And this is obviously not one of those.
Re: Can Someone I.D. This Kart?
From the steering wheel, steel wheels & dead axle it's 1958-1961 time frame is my guess.

Possibilities from the pictures you have & the books I have. Then there were the constant changes being made in every batch.

Zip kart from B&H Machining Inc. Somerset PA. Again seat back don't look quite right.
All I'm finding at this time.
