Timothy, the Standun karts generally had a much more "rounded" seatback than your pix show, and the steering hoop on Standun had a sharper bend. Standuns had a flat stock steering wheel center bar whereas yours is round bar. If you blow up the pic of the front view of your kart, it is obvious that the front axle has been much modified. There are some gobby welds on both sides of the lower steering shaft support. It isn't easy to bend square tubing. Probably the original axle got damaged on one or both outer ends, and it was easier to scab on straight pieces of tubing than it would've been to bend the stuff. It'd be good to see how the main rails got "teed" into the revised front axle. The rails are higher at the joint than the axle is. It's been too long since I saw a Standun in person, so I don't remember the brake setup. TJ

The zip kart steering wheel is correct but from the picture I can't tell if it's square tube or not.

What part of the country is it in?

The Standun Rocket has an entirely different front axle that the "what is it" kart but I have to agree they have the late 50's build style.

Odds are then it's a Zip kart from B&H Machining Inc. Somerset PA.
