:D hello again everyone, got this card already modified and restored. Came believe it or not from a yard sale. Any idea what it started life as. Yes I know the hydraulic disc brake is not original neither is the Briggs Racing Engine. So dig on ,take a look and give me a feel for what I've got. Thank you. And as always thanks in advance,
happy holidays mark

Mark, it's a very much modified Dart Kart. Maybe an A Bone, but I'm not sure. All those bumpers, nerfs, sissy bars, Etc. have been added. Look like Fox pedals, but maybe Manco. Azusa Tri Star wheels. Those added vertical bars behind the seat aren't stock, either. All the added junk shouldn't hurt the handling much, but even with a proper 2 cycle, the added weight isn't going to help! Ted

:D Thanks Ted, I was hoping it might be an old Rupp, although highly modified. I'm going to just keep it as it is with the hi power Briggs, as it runs like a scalded dog. Handles quite well and starts right up. My grandson seems to favor it for now. I'm sure when the bug Sprint is finished he'll claim that one as "his." And of course that's fine , :D my two grandsons are the reason I've gotten back into this. At least that's what I've been telling my wife when the money comes out of our account LOL. :-)

Take lots of better pics. Brackets, lower frame rails, bottom of steering shaft, spindles & hangers, axle brackets etc......

Rear bearing hangers point to a Clark 440 fun kart (copy of a Dart) that has had a lot of work done. Azusa motor mount, Airhart / Dart / Margay style brake bracket, etc.......

Someone else thought it might be a Clark 440, reminiscent of a dart Kart..
Pretty well modified that's for sure and wrong power plant for vintage karting events ,but great for practice track time at the local track here .. 65 + the way it's set up right now with the Briggs lo206. Wouldn't want to bring it to a vintage event and embarrass myself. Well engineered and put together for what it is , but not what I would set up myself. The Briggs racing guys in the lo206 class like it and easy to work on at Innovative karting here where I get a lot of work done...
Like yourselves they're very nice folks and helpful in every way. Thanks for your input and happy holidays mark
