My first vintage kart
[/img]Trying to definitively identify my kart. Best guesses so far are Kurtis or Offeyette. Has rack and pinion style steering. [/img]

Re: My first vintage kart
Fairly sure it's by Larc Douglas. They built lots of quarter midgets, and two different karts at least. I don't think this is the Offyette, but a different model by Larc-Douglas. Their karts were unique, but handled poorly. I remember a karting magazine test where they actually bent the steering shaft and broke the plastic steering wheel. I believe that test was of the Offyette model. Great karts for being unusual, but not for going fast. Sorry I can't remember the name of this model. Ted

Are those adjusters on the square tube to lengthen the kart ?
