Bought a lot of karting stuff. Would like some information

Post by Adam Howe » Mon Apr 30, 2018 12:47 pm

Hello all, I'm new to this site, and new(ish) to karting. I used to have a couple shifter karts and I'm about to get some more. But the reason for this post is that I just picked up a ton of karting stuff. I have about 20 motors, about 30 tuned pipes, a vintage frame, and a couple of other frames. I'm planning on parting out/selling most of the motors except a few that look like they're ready to go, but I know nothing about them. I was really hoping some of you knowledgeable types could help me out. I have quite a few MISI motors, what looks to be a Komet or 2, and several Yamahas. I'll upload the pictures that I have of them.

If there is anything you guys can tell me about what they are or what they're worth I'd really appreciate it. And if anyone is interested in any of the items please feel free to ask about them.

Thank you

Adam,

The main focus over here is Americas early karting history, the Karts and the engines that formed the beginnings of karting from 1959-1972and what you have pictured is from the 70-90s era.

From the looks of some of your pictures you have foreign engines from Kkomet, BM, Yamha, Dap and maybe even some others plus what looks to be maybe a Dyno or a break-in stand.

Not sure of the particulars or the values of what you have. Best bet is try looking on facebook for F100 karts and maybe somebody there could help you. Take photos to you local track and ask there or try ebay for pricing.

Good luck...R.E.A.R.

Thanks REAR. I found a facebook page dedicated to these kinds of karts, and this stuff is flying off the shelves. Thank you for the suggestion

That twin cylinder water cooled engine looks interesting.
