Caretta?
I am trying to get a hold of Bob. I bought a go kart frame at the Portland motor bike show and was hoping you would help me identify it. Bob if you are out there, you were there when I purchased it and you thought it was a Caretta. Please look at the photos I took and post yours too. Thank you.

Re: Caretta?
Can't get to mine to get pics at this time. Buy a few of the mags off of ebay.
Added front bumper, rear bumper / mounts & seat sides are added or wrong.
Everything behind the rear axle has been added all that angle iron stuff.
And even after all of that it might not be a Carretta.......

Re: Caretta?
No one asked me, but it might be. There's not much there. It would have to be a very early one.
I can't see the ends of the rear axle, where the brake would be mounted.
Most early karts wern't step chassis.

Re: Caretta?
A little thread slide here, sorry.
Dominic, Is that round motor mount a 'factory' Caretta piece ? It's cool.

Re: Caretta?
It's a dead axle model. The motor mount attached to the engine is Caretta, the circular part was my idea. It's very solid. *the new stuff is very different.

Re: Caretta?
The steering shaft supports seem to match. I've searched for karts that I have never seen in magazines. Either bad pictures or whatever but some very nice karts exist outside of the advertised world.

Robert,,
Have a friend who just got himself a Studebaker and he's into minibikes and karts and I would like to send him the Yello-Jacket ad you posted about a Studebaker engineer ? or what ever.
Can you tell me what the bottom of the ad reads in its entirety or can you tell me the magazine and date that you got the ad from ?
Thanks ...R.E.A.R.
