Need some pics of a MC 70. I'm in the process of restoring my MC 70 and would like some pics so that I can be sure everything is correct as it should be. Some shots of the carb linkages would be nice. I know some of you have some NOS motors, get those cameras out and help me out. Thanks guys.

McBob, if you can change your spec chart with the ?s, the Mc-70 block is P/N 47795. It has the large PTO bearing and does not have a aluminum or copper head gasket. Mc-70s just aren't very good Mcculloch kart engines.

Tom, you got any close up pics of the MC70 you put on another thread? Preferably carb linkage pics?

Thanks Tom your help is greatly appreciated.
PS i suppose having a head gasket on a fixed head would be a marvel of moden enginering Duhhhh silly me.
If at anytime you or some-one else notices errors on my web site please please let me know.

I got some Mc-70s and never could figure out how to make all the throttle linkage system work, or at least not work perfect so I threw the Mcculloch bellcrank pull rods in the waist basket and rigged up this homemade lashup that actually works good.
The carter clips are from chainsaw throttle trigger linkage
BTW preliminary needle adjustment for the Mc-40 and Mc-70 is all 4 out 2 turns.

..... here is the image of my original artwork that I generated by scanning a Karting World magazine cover, I'll have to go back and look at that mag, there might have been a tear down article in there on the MC70.
... the larger image shows more detail of the carb linkage, looks like the same linkage as in Tom's photo, but it is assembled differently. Also note the yellow color of the block and inner fan shroud.

...there is a good artical about mc70's on my website with a good picture and lots of details about the block. McCulloch thought a fixed head would help cool better.
....see it here...or in the articals link in the home page/

Jeff, I'm surprised that the block is yellow. I have a NOS block and it is unpainted. Does anyone have an original complete motor that would reply or post pics. I would really like to know if I need to paint my block before assembly. Thanks

Thanks for all the pics guys, keep them coming. I also need to see how the bell crank on the manifold is linked to the carbs.
