BIG BANG JULY 1st ***CANCELED***

Post by REAR » Tue Jun 20, 2017 5:52 pm

Heading out to the track Saturday July 1st for another day of Karting fun. This event is open to any style kart from true vintage rear engine karts to modern sidewinders, two stroke or 4-cycle. Gates will open about 10:30.

Start making your plans now and spread the word. There will be races on the dirt track Saturday night also if you want to make a long day of it.

Keep checking in for weather updates and we will make the final call early Saturday morning.

Weather is looking a bit iffy. If you plan on attending make sure you check back early Saturday morning for the final call on whether its a 'go' or a 'no'.

Hoping for sunshine...R.E.A.R.

Donnie and I would be heading that direction out of Indy around 5:30 am. Hopefully we can know by then. Tough to get a day this time of the year without at least a chance of a storm popping up in the afternoon. Will it be a go if the forecast is simply 50/50?

Looks like Mother Natures is not co-operating so we are cancelling tomorrows get-together.

With continual on and off rain today plus flood warnings and rain expected through the night we are pulling the plug early and hope everyone who was planning on attending sees this notice and it saves them a trip.

Have a safe and happy 4th. of July.

See you at THE BIG ONE...R.E.A.R.

The rain on Friday and early Saturday created a very unfortunate circumstance that we had to make a call on in a attempt to save everyone not only travel expenses but personal time also. Could we have run possibly late Saturady afternoon, maybe but for many that just would not be economical or practical and we understand so we made a call early with all of your best interests in mind and it is what it is. Trust us, we wanted to get out and run just as bad as you folks did.

As for a 'rain date' in the future we can keep that in mind and see if that is even possible however at this point the track is closed and with it being a holiday weekend we completely understand that the tracks neighbors want to enjoy a peaceful 4th. of July with there friends and family just like we will be enjoying the holiday with our friends and families.

As for a future Fun Day, July is a very big month for all types of activities from numerous 1:1 races, to many Motorcycle events, and even karting events so if we can squeeze in a Fun Day were going to try but as of right now were not sure when.

Have a safe 4th of July and we'll see you all at THE BIG ONE....R.E.A.R.
