Mc Rod length??

Post by Rick Chapman » Tue Feb 19, 2008 7:08 pm

Does anyone know the length of a Mc6 rod (center of wristpin hole to center of crank needle bearing hole) ??? I am trying to decide if it's worth rebuilding or not. It is completely stock but missing the rod and piston assembly... Thanks for your help...

The rod length on the 6 is the same as in the 7-8-9-90-91-92-93.
The later rods have slots in the bottom for extra lubrication and are preferable if you plan on running the engine hard.

100 cc (6.1ci) or smaller Mac engines all have the same rod length... 2.50" center to center. As Sonny says, the later versions are better due to the slot in the cap that helps lube the needles.
