hi folks my name is Steve cox i love vintage go karts and mini bikes i enjoy the pre 61 karts the most it seems like they were having more fun i dig Mc 10s ,6,5 and west bend 510s and 580s i live not far from portland oregon i have attended kart meats at macmenville and medford since 2013 i restored a 60 Go kart cycle big bear scrambler that i have owned since 1989 and in 20 13 i restored a 1960 bug wasp with Mc 10 witch i have ran at medford the last 2 years i am currently working on a 1960 Go kart 800 with my son darby he is 17 his first ride was at medford Oregon last year this website has helped me with lots of information Mc 10s and early bug wasp info i hope to gain more information from the vintage kart community about this great sport we have i only get to go to the Oregon and Washington. i enjoy all of the information that is shared at these events lots of great people to pick there brains about the glory days of karting

Welcome to the family. You've come to the right place if you enjoy the iron from America's early years of Karting.

Feel free to ask any question you want and were sure somebody will always try to help you. That's the nice thing about preserving as opposed to racing, the more of the old karts that we can be returned to their glory is a win for everyone and nobody is getting injured in the process.

Lot of folks share your love for mini-bikes also but the 2 strokers were not that popular but a good Flathead was what was the major motor of choice for the manufacturers so were cool with that.
