West Bend Crankshaft help

Post by Rob Voska » Tue Apr 12, 2016 7:46 pm

Got a call about a West Bend crankshaft & I can't find the answer. He has an 820 with a 3/4" straight crank with keyway. The question is are the internal threads at the end of the crank Right Hand or Left Hand? 5/16 or 3/8? Fine or course?

Rob
There are TWO cranks with 3/4 inch shafts with the same part no.(256018)
The one for MODEL NO.82023 and 82027 has 5/16-24 RH threads. The one
for MODEL NO. 82026 has 5/16-24 LH threads. I hope that helps.

Rob
One other thing. MODEL No. 82026 is a CW rotation and MODEL Nos.
82023 and 82027 are CCW rotation facing the PTO.

Rob,

I didn't find a number on the crank, but both of the ones I have are for CW rotation and have 5/16-24 LH threads.
