Need stamped motor mounts for Margay gear box

Post by stan wauthier » Mon Mar 14, 2016 8:25 am

Joel wants to set his kart up with a Margay gearbox and dual WB820's. He will be using Max-Torque clutches. He has the gearbox but he needs the motor mounts.

Does anyone have them stashed away? He could purchase them or... if we could get the dimensions, I'm willing to re-pop them.

Any help would be appreciated.

Stan,

Have you tried Margay direct ? Heard a while ago they have some gearbox parts still available.

No, we hadn't thought of that. Thanks.

Nothing like missing the obvious.

I checked with margay today. They don't have any motor mounts, but they may still have the drawings. We're holding our breath.

Joel says there's one on ebay now- we're watching it.

I find it funny when someone asks for something on a forum shortly after it pops up on ebay........

Stan, Charlie was running the Libberton on the Scorp, but has switched to the 101D. I don't know if he'd be willing to sell the WB open spider mount he was using, but you could check with him. Email me or PM if you don't have Charlie's contact. Email's better if you have my address. Ted

Jack Murray had a few of the WB mounts; call him to see how much. I made some of mine from old Mac mounts. Look at the Mac mounts and it will become obvious on how to do the work if you have a good fabricator and welder.
