What a weekend

Post by Brian Thomas » Mon Sep 07, 2015 6:20 am

With all the things going on in our lives TBO gave us a chance to step back and enjoy life for a couple of days .
The Fox through a couple of minor fits . That we were able to sort out .
For future reference if you are running sta tru sprocket carriers keep an eye on them . This is the second one that has walked on the axle .This one went 5 years before moving . We caught it and averted catastrophic crankshaft failure .
The Fox was fast and Dottie was pushing it to and past its limits .
Our motel room smells like 2 stroke fuel.
Shadow must have eaten a pound and a half of chicken over the 2 days .
We saw 99 percent smile ratio on the attendees faces.
Rob , Bob and the rest of the TBO gang put on one heck of a event . We want to thank everyone that attended TBO for making it such a good time.
All of you make this a first class event.
Congrats to the 4 " Biggie " winners .
Congrats to "Lumpy" and his wonderful McCulloch kart . He and his kart won the cover. The kart still has the original stickers under the seat , way cool .
There are a lot of people that really step up to make this a unique event , it is a bucket list event for any vintage kart enthusiast world wide .
Two karts were given away , a restored Clark went to a lucky youngster and The unrestored stub axle Fox went a new home . There are to many that donate to this event for me to mention .

Thank you for giving us a chance to step back and remember why we are here .

What a great weekend!!! It was a blast pitting with you guys and getting to know you. I learned Power Products engines can really run with the right mods....very impressive!!! I bought a Rupp Dart from Mark "Lumpy" from NY and scored a 91A in nice shape at the event that will make Sherry's new kart. It was Sherry's second event where she got to be a driver and she just loves it!!! Thanks for the pics Dottie...Sherry looks sexy in her new helmet she won..haha.....Lady luck!! I hope Shadow has recovered from her chicken dinner all weekend. It was most fabulous to meet some new friends!!! Go Black Dog!

Brian, ditto on the kudos for Rob and Bob. Charlie and I had a good time, even though the steering wheel location on the Swoopster made it hard to drive for me and my tummy. Charlie's Scorp ran well, even with 43 year old tires . I roasted his brake on Sunday. It was good seeing you, Dottie and Shadow, as well as Hank and Marilyn. Ted
