Clintons, Clintons, and more Damn Clintons at TBO !

Post by REAR » Wed Mar 18, 2015 7:09 pm

This year at the 14th annual running of 'THE BIG ONE' presented by Rear Engine American Racers in beautiful Fremont Ohio the spotlight will be on the almighty Clinton engine.

It is once again a pleasure to keep with REAR's time honored tradition of recognizing not only the karts but also the powerplants that formed the beginnings of karting and what better choice then to honor the often neglected but once widely used Clinton engine.

Labor Day weekend will be here before you know it so head on out to the shop and dig out that little bushing or jeweled gem you've had tucked away under your workbench for ages and give her your best tune-up so we can all enjoy the speed and excitement of this fire breathing fuel spitting powerhouse from the great state of Iowa one more time.

Chris is that because they blew them up faster than they could make them?

Dear Rear,

What an excellent idea!
(I might be a little biased)

Chris, can you get more of those Clinton shirts?
You might sell enough to get that trailer back home?

I will check out the shirt deal . In order to make enough to get the trailer to Ohio they will have to be a 100 bucks apiece, ha ha ha ha .

Getting very positive response to this so get your motors running and plan on joining in on the fun.

We will be running these machines in their own group so you guys don't go out and run over any of the twin-engined or B-limited karts. LOL !

Currently in the works is a special bonus related to these machines that will be announced later.

The special bonus could be an hourglass for lap timing!

I am excited about this, I built a fresh one this winter so I will be ready. (If I don't blow it up before Labor Day -ROB!!)

Perfect engine for my 61 Bone.

Scott,

You'll be fine. Just don't start it in the driveway.
