Took this picture at the 2014 R.E.A.R.'s TBO. I was told this was NOS in the original box.

I sent the picture to my childhood friend who had a Sears kart powered by a Clinton. It really brought back memories for him of our neighborhood yard kart days.

Scott,

That is my 500. There was a guy on ebay that had like 20 of them.
He would put one up for auction every month or so. I saw one go for around $600.
I'll stare at it for a while longer and then maybe give it a new home.

We've been asked if this segment is limited to 'deadaxle' style karts and the answer is NO, live axles are also welcome to participate.

Please try to keep the kart as period correct as possible though, nobody is looking to see a Margay New Breed with a Clinton on it.

Of course, REAR engine chassis designs are mandatory with a dry motor clutch driveline. NO direct drive for safety reasons.

Have seen a few Clintons in action lately, everything from some pretty fast ones to some damn slow ones so we should have a nice mix of karts and performance levels out on the track. Heard every description possible also with regards to these engines, every thing from 'a rocket' to a 'pig'.

Reminder...Your running out of time fast to get your Clinton up and running so get out to the garage and get to work because this is going to be a blast !
