Mc Cullough R1 Kart information

Post by Mike Mattson » Sun Nov 16, 2014 12:29 pm

Hello,

I'm new to the sight. I have what I think is Mc Cullough R1 with the removable engine mount. The frame number on the side rail appears to be # 9112 10221. Is there a thread on the history and or reference to this kart for restoration?

I too own a Mcculloch R1. I'm surprised to hear you have a frame number on yours. From my understanding, most of them do not. Mine doen't either. Post some pictures. If you do not know how, I can post them for you. PM me.

Hey,

Thanks for the reply. The number is stamped on the right side rail by the seat. I understanding this is a McCullough R1? In researching I have read some threads that people know how tell the manufacture date?? I have attached some pictures. I was fortunate to find this on craigslist. It came as you see with the original upholstery, gas tank, extra wheels, A box full of miscellaneous linkage.

Mike,

Welcome aboard.

The first question should be were McCulloch karts even numbered or was this a previous owner added number ? No Mckart expert here so can't answer your question

I added a number to my generator for identification if it gets stolen.
