Fred Carrillo made the nicest kart rods I've seen. Carrillo started making rods in 1963 according to the history profile on Carrillo Industries web page . It mentions the kart motors Fred built as being the finest of the era.

This piston Tom you say is for the 100cc engines ............ the piston i would be after would have to suit the 123cc 101 or 125c saw engine.

Nice holes in that piston they man did well ................

As regards the twin 101'S on the mini bike .......... i have the wish to continue living with skin on my ass.

McBob, the Forgedtrue pistons Mcculloch had made for the Super Pro rods were for the 100cc and 135cc kart motors. The 135cc pistons are about +.110" oversize for your needs. Basically Mcculloch built a chrome bore 133cc Mc-101 very similar to the new 8 port Copperhead 820. Mike Savin designed the pistons for Mcculloch. I think Wiesco also made a similar dykes ring large wristpin piston for the open Mccullochs. I'm guessing the so called Mc-102 was kind of a take off on the chromebore 135cc Mc-101s.

Thanks Tom

But it gets a little confusing when some of the literature available for that time period has confusing sizes like 80cc 100cc and 200cc then there's 125cc which i'm sure is only a misprint as it should be 123cc that the 101 was.
