Victor,

Thanks for the good news.

Can I ask if you were a smoker ? Reason I ask is I know a few guys in our family who smoke and I'd really like to see them quit.

Yes I did smoke from 1986 to 1999. I was a light smoker no more than five cigarettes per day and it had it"s toll on me. Smoking is a dumb habit and has taken a few good people. Lung cancer has changed my way of life
and It will ruin your life. I have not been behind the wheel of my kart in two years. Who's fault? Mine.

It is nice to read a post like this. It is a habit that I never started. Going through life, I've seen friends (smokers) succumb to lung cancer in their early 50s. The tragedy is they never knew of the grandchildren and visa versa. I returned to karting and was shocked to see a few of the young adults smoking. I did make a comment and then requested that they don't smoke when I'm present and they have.

My father died of a heart attack (56) and I'm convinced after reading about heart diseases over the years, that his smoking was a major contributor to his death. My mother quit smoking in her late 30s and is 90. So if you are smoking, it is never too late to quit.
