Awesome kart and engines ! I would probably buy a used Padilla Sudam for it and get used to some power while I was having
the B's gone thru by a very good kart engine shop . Don't run em without checking them out ... too valuable.

OK Guys, let's not get carried away with the wild HP claims. The original version of the B-Bomb with two small alky carbs like those on the engines fitted with those original Monza pipes make around 28 hp on alky at best. Sure, more can be produced but only with much different pipes and intake setups and porting but they will blow apart if that work is done without major upgrades to the rods, bearings and pistons.
Some very refined version of the B-bomb can get up to the mid 30HP range but 40+ is just plain old dyno inflation syndrome.
Not to say anything bad about the motors, they are great just as they are. I raced an Emmick prepared version of that motor/pipe/carb combo for a couple years when I was 15/16 years old and won the men's open season title with the Road Runners Kart club at the Original Go Kart Raceway in Azusa, Ca. Never had an engine failure in nearly two years running but we only turned the motor to around 12,000 rpm. If you revved them up much more they would pitch a rod.

Yes it was snapped off.But I don't know how .I just purchased these three weeks ago at a Auction. There is a side cover and a piece of a crank with the Mag ? on it.
