GK1200 spindles

Post by Michael Burke » Mon Oct 01, 2012 2:20 am

I recently bought a GK1200 frame in reasonably good shape, but I need to build spindles since it didn't come with any. The front axle has some slight bends, so I can't trust measuring it in its current condition. I have the Karting World test article, but the info it has for the front end is completely wrong. I'm looking for the king pin inclination angle and angle that the steering arm is welded on at. Some photos of a good spindle would be helpful. None of the photos I have are closeups.

I'll be doing the artwork to make the seat logo stencil. If anyone needs it, please email me. I'll send you a copy once I complete the art.

I also need one rear Feather Torque wheel with the holes if anyone has one to sell or knows of one. I have the correct 7/8ths stepped rear axle.

Please send me a PM or email if you have the info I need.

Thanks for the help

Michael

Michael, Scott Wigginton should be able to help with the original numbers. I have a fairly close pic of my 1200 with one of Scott's repop spindles mounted if it'll help in any way. Let me know and I'll email it to you. Ted J.
