During the banquet dinner at TBO we had quite a discussion about piston rings. I had mentioned that I had discovered a source for rings but couldn't remember the web address. Well, I went through my stash of info and found it! His name is Dave Reed at Otto Gas Engine Works. He has many stock rings and can make just about anything. I've purchased rings from him and thoroughly enjoyed talking to him, a wealth of knowledge. His web site is interesting but I found it best to call him.

Stan, thanks for the link ... we also were wondering how piston rings can be made... I found this webpage, which contains many links to other resources on this topic...

Dave is fantastic to deal with. I had him make some thin rings for an early Homelite motor and they turned out great. He really knows his stuff.
