I have a Tilly HR184A and would like some info on it before I use it.
Same size and configuration as an HR181A but with a larger idle needle. It also doesn't have a dump nozzle, just a hole. Looks factory with no obvious mods.
Alky? Gas?
Anybody know anything about these?
Thanks,
Scott

Hi Scott I got yoru email but have been busy. 184 replaced the 181. Might be a bigger bore like a Mikuni if I remember right. I'll email you hole sizes to see if it's an alky carb.

Re: Unknown Tillotson HR carb
the 184 originally came on the Komet K55 and was a gasoline model.
Later it was also offered by Hartman Engineering in an Alky version.
You can see the drill patterns for the gasoline model in some of the earlier IKF and WKA technical manuals.

Thanks Rob for all the great drilling info.
Thanks Lynn for the history of the 184, I was wondering what it was made for.
The carb is in the Gas form right now but it could be easily converted.
