Avon Event - Revised Class Structure

Post by Scott Kneisel » Sat Mar 03, 2012 8:12 am

The last 2 years at the Avon vintage event have drawn many historic karts and engines and even more are expected this year. Because of that I have decided to expand the historic class structure into 3 separate parts.

Historic A - 1961 and earlier karts - Clintons only
Historic B - 1961 and earlier karts - Macs, West Bends and Homelites
Historic C - 1962 - 1964 karts with all fan cooled engines from that era.

Please look at the attachment for better definitions of these as well as the other classes.
This year is going to be a blast from the past!!

Scott,

You have a 90cc maximum for the 49 class. Is that right?

Yes, in the interest of getting more participation in that class this year the 87cc saw clone engines are going to be allowed because that class was only 3 karts last year, I hope to have more in it this year. So Mac super 250, Mac 300, Mac 380 with 1/2" stroke and 2.125" bore will be allowed. No 450 or 550 engines allowed though. I will be able to spot them and they will be moved up to the single rear class.
