Possible Vintage Kart!

Post by Bob Alan » Tue Dec 25, 2007 5:17 pm

I have a Southern Ill Trader "Show and Sell" paper dated Dec 19-25. There's and ad with two Honda XR 80's and a kart. It says $875 for all- I suppose kart too. The kart looks like it could be vintage to me- hard to tell the pics not too good. Its got the dropped front axle, its low to the ground and the seats big and cushy looking with a pad up between the legs. Its got slick tires and a curved number plate attached to the steering loop. Its got the one piece side rail/ rear engine rail like on Rupp and Lancer karts I've seen pics of. I can't tell if its got a live axle or not. Its got a Briggs engine on it.

Its in Lively Grove, Ill not far from St Louis, phone (618)-824-6314. Might be worth checking into if your up that way. I could be wrong about it, but if its a fun kart then it was built similar to a vintage racer. Looks pretty dang good in the pic.

I would check it out, but its about 150 miles from me and there's no tracks near me. Let us know if one of you check it out or get it!
