Junior Vintage Engines
These are a couple engines I built for My Grandson and Chris M's granddaughter.
Based on the D-44 Saw powerhead, these are 72cc and completely stock. Home built manifolds feed the small Tilly carbs into a stock mac reed plate.
The power heads are excellent rebuilds and the rest are from parts laying around my shop that needed repair. The patched up Mc20 shrouds are a nice touch, don't you think?
Of course, Chris and I will have to duke it out with these to make sure they are safe and slow enough for the grand kids. Heck, maybe we will start a new class.

Re: Junior Vintage Engines
Scott,
Those engines are awesome! That's just what we need in the Jr. class!! You get my vote for Junior Class Tech Advisor in one of our organizations !
By the way, where did you get the Super Cool decal? I need one for a "Super 250" that will soon be on my son's kart.

Re: Junior Vintage Engines
Scott- I just paged thru some old mags, reminded me that Mac once built a bushing-class engine, the MC-2. Know anything about that one? Sounds ideal for low-powered kids engine.
Re: Junior Vintage Engines
I had one. It was just a bushing main bearings & rod bearing engine. I thought it was cool.
