engine stuffer

hi i have a us 820 2 cycle engine.i have noticed on a few sites an engine stuffer plate to replace the bottom plate.does this increase horsepower?

It moves the power band up in the RPM range & only if the new stuffer displaces (shrinks) the volume of the crankcase more than a stock stuffer.

Most aftermarket 610/820 stuffers don't have enough extra volume to help the RPM range a noticable amount. The main advantages are that they stiffen the case, and they look pretty! TJ
