I know that there are a few of you left from kart racing of the late 50's and early to mid 60's here. I teamed with Laurie Graham, always #99 during those years, who ran A Mod Heavy with my Mc's on John Dentici's King Karts then and took many firsts and podiums at BKC in Dousman, WI, and State, Regional, and National IKF events around the Midwest. Had I known about R.E.A.R. sooner, I would have posted this earlier.
Laurie passed away unexpectedly and instantly from a pulmonary embolism at age 70 on 10/23/10 at his home in Greenfield, WI, and is survived by his wife Kathy and two grown sons. Laurie was the finest driver I have ever known and a man of integrity, dignity, and a great desire to be #1, but not at the cost of harm or wrong to anyone. He could tell the lousiest joke and make your sides split with laughter. We both left kart competition in late 1966. I had just become engaged and Laurie had two young sons and a wonderful wife with whom he understandably wanted to spend all of his free time.
