Cool kart. Engines are probably MC75's I would be surprised if they were 101's. Yes people rebuild engines. Yes there are old style tires to be had. Value is whatever makes you both happy. I've seen stuff sell for $200 to 3K.

If your going to buy it do so. If your friend wants to do you a favor, let him. His Kart on e-bay could fetch many thousands of dollars. If it's just between you and he, $2,500 would be a good deal for you.

You are not gonna go very far on this forum with comments like that.........

The reason Rob said they were probably Mc75's is because they have Mc75 manifolds and small bore carbs.
The 101 came with a completely different manifold and large bore carb.
Your buddy could have changed them I suppose, maybe he also changed the fan covers which are pre-101.
You should ask him about that.

Oh yeah, I just noticed that he must have also changed the crankcases, they do not appear to be 101 either.
And the round heads....a dead give-a-way for an Mc75.

thanks for little or no in put ..!! jeeez anthoney the way i see it is we are all one big family..you say little or no im put..!!! but on the other site theres 25 hits to your post ..the same post thats on here ..im thinkin 90% or more vintage karters use all 3 sites about evenly ..and i got a pretty good idea outa 24 answers on another site ...one answer was that someone thought it was a later 64 f1000 ..am i correct ? ..my point is you ask the same question on 2 different sites so your not gonna get a ton of results off the the second one because 90% of us seen it already ..im a little confused at what your actually looking for ..lotta people told you it was good deal and throwed out alot of numbers info on kart motors parts ect.. ect ..i think you will be better off in the long run if you edit and say (thanks everyone i found out we are pretty sure its a late 64 f1000 and possibly 101s ..) theres a pile of awsome dudes on all 3 sites with more knowledge than ill ever be able to absorb.... im sure not gonna be ungreatful for any advise ,opinions,and so on ..now go buy the dang kart and bring it to cuddybeck .!!!!

you managed to p.o. Scott one of the most even tempered guys around!!
Scott is a noted mcculloch engine builder in upstate new york.
he can refuse to build a motor too so please lose the attitude.

right i watch all four forums.
i usually will answer someone on only one to save confusion.
as far as them being 101's i'd listen to the guys.
i didn't really argue with you about what are mounted since either motor is a desirable motor.
truth be told the mc75's are rarer.

what i'm puzzled about is why you haven't done the deal yet.
good friend or no somebody will lay out serious cash and you'll lose your ride.
get going and be impatient with the purchase if anything!!!
