Very large turn out at The Big One this year, all the pit spaces and the parking lot were pretty much full again. Rob Voska and Bob Kurkowski put on another great event with the earliest era of American made karts and motors in attendance. Saturday was hot, well, really hot!!! ... most people were on the verge of melting with big smiles on their faces. Early Sunday morning looks wet out there, but it should clear up in a bit .... time for breakfast ....more later... Jeff Campbell
Bob Lapke brought this really cool rotary valve McCulloch that he build himself decades ago. It was truely unique as far as rotary valve modded Macs go, with the rotary valve feeding into the side of the crankcase stuffer. The ignition was vintage, with points and a battery powered coil. It howled on the track!!!

Re: Reporting from The Big One!!!
Hi, Jeff,
Park Pilot magazine due date to ship on the 7th, and just couldn't finish in time. Still working on it right now.
Completely miserable that I couldn't be there. I've been planning for months, and it's the first time everything backfired at once - and the first TBO I've missed since my first in '04.
Please give Rob, Bob, Randal, yourself and everyone there my very best for a great weekend.
See all of you next year.
Warmest regards,

Re: Reporting from The Big One!!!
hey guys,
awesome event!!!
in case you're interested this pix CIMG5736-480.jpg has my daughter 17 years old new on the track this weekend driving.
note the stylish pink sneakers, she drives like me her foot nowhere near the brake.
i do believe that's Dave Santee trying for the pass behind her.
about two seconds later she spun outright in front of him at the head of the straight giving dave a MOMENT!!!
she had a blast and will be back!!!
