Join the Santa Maria Karting Association (SMKA) for our open track day on July 16th from 8 am to 6 pm at the Santa Maria Airport kart track. Santa Maria is halfway between Los Angeles and San Francisco.
Modern AND VINTAGE karts will be there.

The event is open to all participants ages 5 and up, SMKA membership is NOT required. The cost is $35 for drivers, spectators are FREE!! Bring your friends and family. Safety is our #1 priority; if there is a large turnout, practice sessions will be controlled by age group/class. Track K will be run.
Last September, the FAA required the airport to shut down the SMKA track. It has not been used since then, and we have no idea when our next chance will be. Club members will be working hard for a couple of days the week before the event getting the track in shape. This is a rare chance to visit and use this historic kart track.
