Great Barn Fresh Kart at the Barnesville event this past weekend ... the kart won one of the show awards (maybe someone can remind me which one .. people's choice or unrestored original)... seemed to have all the original stickers on it too... It's interesting how they raised the front axle up to make it into sort of a front bumper.

That is a really cool kart. When I was there, someone told me that the front axle was adapted from a garden tractor or lawn mower. Makes sense. Maybe the owner can chime in here, Puttnik dude, did you tell me that?
Scott
Oh yeah, the kart won best unrestored original and all three of us judges were 100% in agreement.
So cool,
Scott

Here's a picture of the DB Tri-Trac, the front axle is nearly identical. You see that same square axle configuration on a lot of ag. equipment, oftentimes there are multiple mounting holes you can adjust the width of the front axle.
I got the kart from a guy way out in the sticks, it was his wife's when she was growing up. It originally came with a PP H-81 motor which I pulled off before selling it to PND. Truth be told it looks WAY better with the Clinton
