Which 820, the Industrial type, West Bend V reed, HL carb, NO. The new Vintage 820, large reed, HR carb Boost ports, with like equiptment, (exhaust, clutch, weight etc) will run away. The Vintage 820 will run with the 101 all things being equal.

Dave Bonbright, Engine Masters, Sonoma, CA 707-938-8122. They cost a little bit more than $450.00. You can get them with three different pto options, 3/4 inch, 5/8-9/16 stepped kart or with the Mac taper.

if it doesn't grenade and kill us both it won't matter how hot yer 820 is.
besides you already have at least a four second advantage since yer way lighter than me.

Souped up 820 vs Mac 101..... see for yourself... watch this video from Bakersfield last March.
Start watching at the the 3:45 mark and watch the three karts... driver in third with white sleeves is me, driver with white pants is Louie, third kart I don't know the driver.
I'm running the 101, the other guys are running modified 820s.
Oh.... one more detail.... the other guys have TWO 820s.... I have ONE 101 with a stock intake manifold and carb.... no fancy GEM or Tilly add ons.
No contest.

My condolences to the WB fans :D

I run a Bonbright on alky with a pipe and I appreciate the condolences since I know how terribly slow it is! The track I belong to races every weekend so I get lots of opportunity to run against Macs and I'm well aware of the results.

I'm glad my kart is set up strictly for single engine though, imagine how much worse it would be for me if I had TWO of the damn things on there!

;)
