I don't have any problem posting pictures. Just use Photobucket or any of the free online hosting services.

Ahh the joys of sharing photos on different boards.
Steve, you're on the right track. Within your Photobucket album, when you mouse over each picture you'll see a Share menu with 4 options. For most message boards you want to select the IMG Code option. When you click on the box on the Rt. it automatically copies the code to memory and you can paste directly into the body of your message.
To further complicate things, most vintage kart sites have limits on the size of the file you can share. For REAR & VKA, the image has to be re-sized to no more than 780 pixels wide. (640x780 is an older standard low-res format). Over on Vintage Karts, they don't have width restriction, instead they a file size restriction of +/-100kb. Either way you have to post process (use a piece of software to resize )the image as most 5-8 megapixel cameras shoot up in the 2300+ pixel range with average file sizes running into the 1-2mb range.
There is a practical purpose for this for the site admin and end users...Could you image the bandwidth and load times of the site with 100mb of pictures with a slow connection...Yikes.
To get around post processing, you can use the Direct Link option which generates the link code which you simply paste into the post. Like this:

Another really cool feature with a Photobucket account is the ability to circumvent (not pay) E-Bay .75 for a dozen photos. What you do is use the HTML Code from Photobucket and paste it into the body of your ad text. The images have to be resized to no larger than 800x600 pixels, but it saves you money and provides better pictures which makes your item more likely to sell. I paid $25 for a Pro-Account with Photobucket simply because there is a cap on the number of pictures and number of hits before you get dinged. Plus, they have some additional FTP and hit tracking options that are worth the extra dough-ray-me.

Yes, I agree, BUT I am not sure if it is a click the button to enable a feature solution or a have to redesign the whole site deal. Building a site and getting all the kinks worked out can be a hugely time consuming process especially if there is a forum involved. With Open Source software a lot of times your waiting for developers and there's a lot of back end stuff that has to jive properly. To a certain extent if it ain't broke, don't fix it.
Once you figure out the work-around its not a big deal, but it can be frustrating if you don't know why you can't post.

I found the Free Softeware to Download called Picasa.
It resizes pictures.
It is a little confusing at first but after a couple times, it was not so bad.
Just type Picasa in your search bar and download the software.
Follow the instructions.
I resize my photos to 480 pix...
Good luck
Rick
