Every one of my intakes use Gem or Gem type pyramids, except a Van Tech where the reeds are closer to the inside of the casting. Can frequent reed breakage be expected since none of these have curved reed stops? I installed those brown fiber reeds, hoping they're less likely to fatigue, and if that happens, maybe the motor won't be as bad off.
Please let me hear about your experience with the pyramids.
