I have two types of Gem V12 dual manifolds for Mac engines . On one the reads extend through the bottom of the manifold and has a shaped stuffer area, and the other one the reeds are about flush with the flat bottom of the manifold, with a higher overall profile than the first. Has anyone tested both these manifolds to see if one is better than the other, as I only need one, and want to keep the best one. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Re: Gem V12 manifolds
I have run both of these manifolds and can find no real difference in performance. Back to back on track test revealed no advantage. The one with the deeper set reeds seems to need reed replacement more often than the flat one. If I were to have to choose one, I would pick the one that had the flatest gasket mounting surfaces, rather than the depth of reeds. Good luck, Sonny
