I have forgotten - engine mount question

What do you call those engine mounts that ride on bearings on the rear axle I've seen them called floating mounts but I'm thinking they had a different name

Floating mount or axle mount , uni mount in the case of the Rupp mount.

I just got in a plastic seatback tank for a Rupp A- Bone Replica (Robron) that I am restoring. The front of the swing mount where it turns up hits the bottom left side of the tank. Is this a common issue ? What should I do ? Heat and mold tank out of the way ? Mount tank off center and cocked ? or grind away some of the mount ?

Thanks,
Kyle

Kyle, The swing mt tab shud be 3/4" from the right side tubing. if this is correct the mount will not hit the
5 qt plastic tank. if it was a fun kart, then the tab was welding toward center of kart for the 5 hp engine.
it you still have questions, give me a call today.

Here's the ones I made for my Rupp Chapparral Enduro. Couldn't see paying $400.00 for new.

Merv...there are two different size swing mounts for the Rupp....short ones ,that work in place of the uni mount and the older ,longer style....hope this helps

Rob Stanten has both ....
