Colverator O ring

OK I've got a couple of Colverator carbs and I am looking for a replacement o ring for the internal adapter. For those unfamiliar with the Colverator, it is a Mukuni carb with the bulleye removed. In its place is a machined insert with small holes drilled around the perimeter which is supposed to aid in atomization.

The O ring is an odd ball thickness less than 1/16th (the smallest standard size). Has anyone replaced one recently and if so where did you find it? Does anyone know the original size?

The other option would be to purchase a splice kit and build my own, which would be the option of last resort.

Thanks

It's been a while but if memory serves, it's an .039/.040" cross section

Thanks for the replies everyone. Jeff May is going to call Mike and see if he can't source the O rings as he is looking too and I don't want to inundate Mike with a million phone calls about a 30 year old carb.

Hopefully, its an off the shelf solution the key being which shelf.

@Nils
Can't help you there Gus, one of mine came apart no problem and the other didn't have a O ring so it came apart even easier....

Dan; Got my venturi out, and to me it looks like who ever had built it up b4, cut a oversized (length wise) O ring apart and wrapped it around in carb body ,then stuffed the extra ends down a small bolt hole which was exposed when the carb body was bored out . weird but true,gus. ;)

...another option is to go to McMaster.com and find the o-ring yourself ... they have every size imaginable listed there, and many different materials ... you can find o-rings for your brakes, mac sidecovers... (just make sure you get the right material, especially for brakes).
