Hi everybody THis is my first real vintage race kart could anybody tell me the year and what engine and if the engine is correct for the kart Im going to race it and it was repaint a long time ago .Ive just gave the kart a good cleaning Im a newbbie to this stuff but Im hooked all ready . I bought the kart from the orginal owner . what class will this kart run in any info would be great thanks alot

It will run in the only class at REAR, rear engine pre '72. It would run in rear single 6.1 and under at another event.
My opinion would be to stabilize the condition and leave it alone. A kart is only original once, restored is forever. Dart karts are a dime a dozen, un-restored period modified are rarer.

Nice kart. Just clean it & safety wire the needed items. See tech article on how. It's rear to find one in that condition without missing parts, bent front axle, 4 cycle engine etc...... good job.

so I took the rear hoop and cleaned all the surface rust off and took a automotive clear to it and it looks great I think ill leave it alone
