Rupp A-Bone year?

Post by wally wallen » Wed Oct 27, 2010 1:52 pm

I have a A-Bone with the narrow hoop. I think it is 1971. I know the 68 had a wide hoop, but I'm not sure when Rupp went to the narrow hoop.
Anyone know for sure?

Wally, 1968 was the first year for the narrow hoop A-bone. Did you get the sprocket?

Yes, I got the sprocket, Louie, thanks.
Now the problem is the nut I have is not long enough to seat in the ledge in the hub. When I tighten it down, it tightens against the drum and it turns into direct drive. I'm going to call Jim Donovan tomorrow and see if he still makes longer left hand thread nuts for this application.
If it isn't one thing, it's another. Putting this old stuff back together is fun, but kind of a pain also. ;)
