The Big One 2010 THANK YOU!

We would like to thank all who attended The Big One making it the huge success that it has become over the years. What started out with a couple of friends getting together has grown to a few hundred friends all with a huge soft spot for old Go Karts. Without you the event is nothing. Year after year I see better and cleaner restorations. I see new faces showing up and being welcomed. Every year those that make the trip renew old friendships, make new ones, bench race, tell lies, eat chicken & have a great time.
This year some of the highlights was a MC49 on an endurance run. I’m not sure they ever shut it off except to refuel. Even Ted Johnson was tearing up the track running more laps than he has in the past few years all together. Parts, karts & stuff literally everywhere. Faces I didn’t expect to see showed up and the familiar old ones that are there every year. Jim King took his usual nap in the middle of the mayhem. Jim Donavon from Max Torque giving clutch seminars right on the table where everyone could see & helping some get back on track. I can’t even begin to express the help and donations we have had over the years. They don’t even want any recognition, just happy to contribute in their own silent way. Space is limited but their always seems to be room for just one more. Everyone cooperating and picking up after themselves. Using their heads when on the track so we have no safety issues.
Bottom line is THANK YOU ALL FOR MAKING THIS EVENT A HUGE SUCCESS !
