Bob Lapke duals - HD Video

Post by Jeff Campbell » Mon Sep 06, 2010 7:25 pm

...as some might have noticed at TBO, I was walking around with some weird PVC pipe contraption on my camera, this is a stabilizer I have been working on in an attempt to shoot some decent video with high power zoom... this video was one of my first tests this past weekend, not bad for a first attempt, I had a little trouble tracking him a few times, but most of the video is pretty shake free ... it does capture Bob's great "this is how I drove 'em style" ....

Watching Bob pilot that kart around the track was worth the price of admission to TBO alone. As impressive as the video is....in person was even more impressive! Bob pitched that kart sideways about the 3/4 point down the straight before the turn. Bob is still a champion in my book....awesome. That kart was a monster! I think the younger guys will see this video on YouTube and vintage karting will grow. Heck...it might even convert some 4-cycle guys. Thanks Bob!
