1/4 mile track. Youngster with a restored Dart & a stock MC49. Lap times around 26 seconds a lap. BURNT 4 GALLONS of fuel !!!!!!Anyone want to guess how many laps, miles or hours of track time he got in?
It was great to see a young man have so much fun & literally drive it until it was out of fuel.
Rob,
Well that doesn't surprise me, every time I went to take photos he was out there buzzing around (some photos below), he must have done close to 400 laps. I didn't catch his name unfortunately. He certainly drove as fast as he could go, it took me a couple laps to pass him, my 12 year old son kept asking me, "was I as fast as him". My son now has his "Hot Shoe Bongo Billy" challenge.
Oh yea Bongo Billy! My guess is more like 200 miles or 800 laps..... and I think I may be low. That's only 3.46 hrs & I know he was out there a lot more than that! And not a video game in sight.
This young fellow's name is David Santee, son of Roger and Alene and younger brother of Brian.
He was one of our "Peoples Choice" Awards Winners at the Barberton Kart Tracks Vintage Event.
Great kid,

Great Job Santee's...
That is my 12 yr.old son David. He runs the wheels of his kart at every event we attend. His brother Brian was in the kart over the weekend also. David did put in the most laps. Thanks for the nice comments Rick.
